Alright, I don't understand why no one in
the computer industry seems to care about
this. I frequently visit hardware
forums and no one really gives
knowledgeable answers on this, even though
the forum is very very good and people
there know a lot! I also can't find
any articles giving me a good answer.
So maybe people here will know.
My (closely related) questions are this:
does staring at a computer monitor for a
lot of time every day eventually damage
eyesight (e.G. Cause
shortsightedness)? Secondly, are lcd
or crt monitors better in this respect?
That is, which type causes less
eyestrain? There was a very brief
mention in this page http://computer.H
owstuffworks.Com/monitor9.Htm that lcd
was healthier in this respect. However,
I don't think I have full faith in that
article because I did find one detail that
was incorrect, and they just seemed way
too brief on that part.
(this forum's url linking system is
somehow broken or stupid, by the way)
