Hello. I am a 25yr old woman (smoker,
thin, only slightly active and I have no
family history of serious issues except
cancer) who has recently gone to the
doctor for the following problems:
frequent urination
excessive thirst
abdonimal pain (intermittent)
extreme fatique (mostly around
menstration)
headache
pains in legs, arms, back, neck, face
restless sleep (awaken to urinate or just
randomly)
switch between constipation and diaherrha
My doctor tested me for diabetes, Lupus,
Sjogrens, and thyroid disease and the
tests did not show any of these. However
my tests did show I have depressed (low)
HDL and low white blood cell count. So, my
doctor is suggesting I get more sleep,
exercise and take Detrol (a pill to stop
the frequent urination.) I know the
things he listed for me to do could be
helpful, but I feel there is an more
serious underlying issue (besides bad
sleep habits and OAB/overactive bladder)
that are being overlooked and need to be
addressed.
