im 39 weeks and my baby is laying down one side, and ive been told its nothing to worry about except birth will sting a bit more

My baby boy is laying down my right side, and has been for the past couple of weeks, midwife has just left my house this second and has told me to try some things for my baby to shift as it is better for him to be laying on the left side of my belly rather than my right as labor will be a little longer than usual and sting a bit more, i am 37 weeks pregnant.
