Femara and Novarel (HCG Shot) combination Posted: 03-26-08 17:57pm
I started a 5 day course of Femara on 24th
Feb, went for ultrasound on 6th March (Day
12) Had 2 eggs on my left side, so was
able to get my HCG shot. So far so good.
Period was due 20th March, still nothing.
Throughout this whole time I have had some
discomfort in my lower left abdomon.
Slightly spotted today, (26th
March-redish/Pinkish/Brown) 6 days late.
Not done pregnancy test yet. Trying to
wait till day 35. (29th) Hopefully get
an accurate test result.
As you can tell I am getting a bit
impatient.
Any imput from anyone as to if they have
had same symptons on this combination?
Concerned that I could have a tubular
pregnancy

Well, since all this my period started. So
I was SOL that month.
2nd month wasen't much better. No eggs
this time, so no shot.
And YES, the Femara does make you a little
depressed and very disapointed. But next
month I will be a little prepared for it,
and hopefully will be ablt to deal with it
better.

Due to the cyst I had last month, which I
failed to mention. I was very optimus this
month. Thankfully it had gone, otherwise,
I would have to go on the birth control
pill to help it disappear, and maybe
change from Femara. but .
Due to being on vacation for the next
round, we decided to give it a break and
so next month, we will be trying the
follistim. (The stomach shots). Along with
this comes bigger bills. All I see is $,
$, and more $.
I don't know how many times we will try
this, but we will see. Things are really
bginning to get expensive. It is very
worrying.
I will keep you all posted.
Even though you view my posts, it would be
nice, if once in a while you would send me
back some imput.

i wanted to reply back, and i hope you
still get on here and read the messages. I
just started the Femara on May 25th, and
i'm going for an u/s tomorrow( June 2).
I'm very nervous, and just hoping all this
works. I'm supposed to take the Novarel
injection with me so i can be instructed
on all the details. So anyways, i worry
about the $ issue too; all this can be so
much to handle, so its great to talk to
others who've been there too. I hope to
hear from you soon.
