Fiber effects and healthy eating Posted: 03-05-08 16:24pm
Hey, first post, hope this is correct
section.
I'm 16 and for two weeks after thanks
giving I was constipated and I got so
tired of it I just decided to eat fiber
everyday. [Raisin bran 25% daily fiber = 1
serving]
It made me pass gas, alot, and I wonderd
if I even need 100% daily fiber.
So recently I stoped eating the cereal,
and everything seems Ok, just wondering if
I should always eat fiber, alot of it.
And a question about staying healthy.
If I dont spefically eat healthy [Arizona
ice tea] will fiber help me? The way I
thought it worked was, if I eat
not-so-great, any extra garbage in me
would just get sent out alot faster due to
fiber so there wouldnt be any build ups of
bad stuff, but my friend told me it still
effects me in the long run. I thought food
was just energy, you use it, then your
done with it. . . Though I know like
alcohol would cause liver problems but I
didnt think normal food caused long-term
life expectancy differences..
Basically.. Lots of fiber, and I figured
keeping arteries clear so your heart could
chill, and you'd be fine. . Yes? No? 'Cuz
eating healthy is expensive.. I could get
a meal with 2$ at wendys or something. [I
know.. fast food = X_X ]
