Hello! I had my son April 2nd, via c-section. I bled for 4 weeks afterwards. On May 27th I got my period. It's my first one since him. It was very light at first, kinda like spotting. A couple days later it hit full force. Its very heavy now and it looks like it wont be going away anytime soon. I was just wondering if this was normal? Its usually not this heavy and its normally lighter by now. This is my first child, so I am completely clueless. Thanks so much!!

it sounds normal to me, i've heard the first few postpartum periods can be pretty heavy. as long as you're not soaking a pad every hour you should be fine. you can always call your doctor if you're concerned. i had my baby 2 days before you but i haven't had a period yet, though i'm on the pill so i know i'll be getting one soon. congrats on your baby!

Thanks! I wouldn't say every hour on the pads, but about every 2-3. Im gonna see what happens the rest of this week and over the weekend. If I still have it next week, Im going to call my doctor just to be sure. Thanks again!
