Hello. I am a 24 year old female and
recently experienced my first seizures on
Monday morning. I had 3 total throughout
the day. I was in the emergency room and
then transported to another hospital
overnight. My MRI did show a spot on my
brain which will be rechecked in two
weeks. I am home now and am taking 300mg
of Dilantin each morning. I am very
scared by all of this but am sure I will
get used to it soon. I bit my tongue
really bad. It is swollen, numb on the
end, and bleeds in the morning. I can't
each much of anything. Reading the other
blogs, I see that is quite normal, but I
am going on my 4th day after it happened.
Shouldn't the swelling start going down???
Any help or advice about this or seizures
in general would be appreciated and
comforting!
