Folic acid and pregnancy
Posted: 07-17-08 07:21am

I have discovered I am pregnant! I have been taking folic acid which a friend gave to me for the last two months. However, I have only just noticed (!) that the date of expiry was 09/07. Are they invalid and will it will it harm baby in anyway?

Current medical status: Pregnant
Current medical treatment: Taking Folic acid

It is fortunate that those folic acid pills were only vitamins and not active medicines. They are probably invalid but it seems likely that they couldn’t cause any damage to the fetus.

You may want to consult your gynecologist about this.
