Foot Problems

Hi all, new here.
I had a bad laceration on the top of my foot which required a hospital visit for infection. Now some 5 months later I have been getting a numbing and burning sensation, to the point of waking me up at night. Could this be related after a 5 month period?

Hey there.Yes,it could be related if there was nerve damage from the infection. Are you diabetic??If so,do not waste any time in getting to your doctor. The feet are very susceptable to infections in diabetics and can lead to amputation if you ignore the warning signs-burning,tingling,slow healing wounds.I would get your foot checked out, even if you are not a diabetic.Good luck to you!Patty
