frequent short periods Posted: 03-02-08 10:13am
My period was due around the 20th of feb.
I started to bleed about 2 weeks early. I
only bled for 2 days then it was done. I
usually bleed for 5 or 6 days. Then 2
weeks later when I was supposed to start I
started again. I was bleeding heavy but it
only lasted a day. I am just wondering if
there could be something wrong with me. My
periods are usually pretty normal. I am a
little freaked out and curious. I have no
idea what could cause this..maybe just
stress or eating different. Any info would
be very much appreciated.

Are you on birth control? If so then you
could be experiencing break through
bleeding. How old are you? If you are in
your teens, your periods can easily get
off track, even if they have seemed normal
in the past. Also, stress and diet can
deffinately mess you up. I really don't
think it sounds like pregnancy. Are you
sexually active?

I have had my period for almost 12 yrs and
there have only been 3 times in my life
when I have been irregular. When I was
pregnant, for a while after I had my
daughter, and when I was on bc. I have
been off the birth control for a year now.
I dont think I am pregnant but I havent
tested yet. These 2 little periods
happened to me while I was back home
helping my sister for a month. I thought
maybe the change in situations, eating,
and sleeping habits may be the reason. I
am not sure though and just wondered if
there what the possible causes could be.
