I am 25 year old, and i was with someone
who was the same age as I for the past
year.. we fell in love, and wanted to get
engaged.. Her parents didnt want us
getting engaged,because of my dads
proffession, and the fact that i m not
gonna be rich in my proffession as a
teacher.. and her mom using emotional
blackmail forced her to break up with me,
or disown her.. she chose her family.. I
cant hate her for that.. I am in so much
pain, and I dont know how to get over
her.. it really hurts.. but i cant hate
her, and we both love each other.. how do
i get over her?

Until she is mature enough to stand up to
her mother, she is better off with her
family. It is her life to live, not her
mother's. If she doesn't come back to
you, then it is her loss. Obviously money
is more important to her and her family
than TRUE love. What is your dad's
profession? Why do they not approve?
Teaching is the most admirable job there
is, you are educating our children - what
more could they want - MONEY? Time will
help, if she continues to choose her
family over you. There will be someone
else who will apprecaite you for YOU! I am
sorry you are going through this. I have
always believed family, finances, and
religion can come between relationships
and these issues are not easily resolved.

my dads a cleaner.. yeah i m starting to
make peace with it.. i guess the biggest
mistake i made was call her back and
complain to her about her parents..
shouldnt have done that.. but i understand
the way things are it will only lead to
fights and so on.. so i m letting her go..
if she truly cares about me she ll be
back..but i decided not to hold my breathe
anymore. Thanks for the advice eeyore46
and willa.. its greatly appreciated

I'm glad to hear you are letting her go.
Thats all you can do. If your meant to be
together she'll be back... if not, you'll
find someone else. Stay strong!

Love hurts, but TRUE love is wonderful!
You will find the right person who loves
you more than anything in this world.
Time will help you heal. I am truly sorry
for the pain you are going through.
