Condoms versus Calendar or Withdrawal Method Posted: 03-02-08 09:38am
I had a sexual intercourse with my
boyfriend. Almost four times in a month,
regardless of wether it was my fertile
period or not. we never minded what was it
anyway. We use condom to prevent me from
getting pregnant. But there were times
when we had not use it, but there was no
ejaculation. there was also a time in
which he almost had his ejaculation while
inside.we were not actually sure about it
beacuse he said that he managed to pull
away before it happened. we were just
wondering bout that preejaculation period
if it's really causing preganacy. i am
expecting my monthly menstrual cycle on
the 1st week of march, and i am so anxious
about it. i still don't have menstraution
by this time. and i am kinda experiencing
symptoms of being pregnanct. how much is
the possibiltity that a could be
pregnant.
If you suspect you might be experiencing
symptoms of pregnancy, a simple home
pregnancy test will quickly confirm or
deny this. If the test is positive, you
can request an ultrasound test through
your Gynecologist for confirmation. If
the test is negative, your period may be
delayed for many other reasons, including
stress. In the future, you might consider
the safer contraceptive method of condom
use over the withdrawal method or the
calendar (or rhythm) method. The calendar
method is most effective for women with
very regular cycles, although there can
always be unexpected variations in the
cycle duration and ovulation date.
Withdrawal is also less effective, since a
great deal of control is required by the
man, plus pre-ejaculate fluid may contain
sperm.
