Vertigo Cure
Posted: 01-01-08 23:32pm

For the past three months, intermittently, I find my head spinning as I try to get up from my bed. It becomes almost impossible to get up. I keep lying down for over an hour and then ususally I find the spinning is reduced. I have consulted doctor who had advised taking 'Vertim' tablet three times a day. I also have problem of cervical spondelitis.

My questions are: (a) What is causing this? and (b) How it can be cured?

Ask to go to a doctor who deals with the inner ear, as that is where balance comes from. My dad had severe vertigo for months and was finally diagnosed with crystals in the tubes attached to his cochlea. I'd ask about that. I don't remember what the cure ended up being but for some reason I think it involved tossing his head back and forth and to the sides really hard - something that should ONLY be done by a doctor. But, he got his head whacked around and voila! No more vertigo.
