This question is probably in the wrong
section but I'm curious about something.
During the last few years I’ve
occasionally observed a young man whose
head rhythmically “wags” from side to
side as he walks. I thought it might be
just someone with some sort of mental
disorder but recently I noticed a woman
who does exactly the same (though much
more pronounced) indicating that it might
be a physical disorder. Obviously I
can’t walk up to complete strangers and
ask them what it’s all about.
Is it a disorder at all?

Some medications can cause this sort of
thing and some neurological may be the
cause.

I presume that you are ruling out "direct"
mental disorder, yes? But can you be more
specific?
Does this medication (you mention) affect
the nervous system? Would a neurological
disorder have anything to do with the
spine? Is it a lack of muscle control?
Could it be (contrarily) muscle tension?
