Headlice Help!
Posted: 09-30-05 09:26am

I am 33 years old. I have 2 kids. I have a brother that is 14 and a sister that is 16. My brother and sister have had headlice back to march of 2005. My mom treats them and doesnt follow the directions. I have talked to my mom about this gave information to her and have treated them myself. They wont tell anyone about it so they can check them selves. I saw my sister this past saturday god she had nits all in her hair and yes I treated her because she had live lice too. My brother has it still he just wasnt there at the time. I wont let my kids go around them. My kids have not seen them in along time. This holiday season is going to be hell because we wont be able to visit. I have tried to talk to my mother . Its a waste of my time. I have tried to help. What should I do?

If you're trying to stop your family from getting lice, then it will be difficult. You can't force someone to start treating themselves if they just don't care. Just make sure your family (as in immediate family, like your children) don't have them and make sure they don't get them. There's not much you can do about it in my own opinion.

If you are using a shampoo-based treatment for lice(am sure such a thing is available), why not sneak in some of the treatment shampoo into the regular one that these people use.

Just an idea...
