Approximately 1 year ago my boyfriend
experienced what we thought was a heart
attack. He is only 33 and while his diet
could be better he is in fairly good
shape. But while sitting at the movies his
heart started to race, his became all
sweaty, light headedness, couldn't feel
his left arm, and his heart was literally
beating out of his chest.... we left the
movie. When we arrived at the hospital his
BP was approximately 180/110. The nitro
they gave him made his his BP drop so fast
and low that he almost blacked out.
The hospital stay that time (3-4 days)
discovered nothing. All the enzyme tests
and EKGs and stress test all indicated
that he was NOT having a heart attack.
They sent us home without any anwswers but
the pain never really went away. I started
carrying asprin with me everywhere because
I was afraid they had just missed
something. He ended up back in the
hospital again with the same concerns...
tested again and nothing. They did suggest
it was heartburn and after several STRONG
doses of antacid they sent him home.
The pain comes and goes but it hasn't been
truly bad until last night. He finished
off the bottle of antacids and it wasn't
helping. He decided to head to the store
to get something else... but before he
left he had me feel his chest and I had
never felt anything like it. It was
beating so hard I felt like I was on TV
and it was going to explode out of his
chest. He was hurting and scared but he
doesn't have medical insurance at this
time as a full-time college student and
the thought of facing another $10,000 in
medical debt kept him from going in. I
would rather have the debt and not be
planning his funeral... but none-the-less
he didn't go. It is frustrating to not
have any answers.
Any suggestions about what it might be
would be greatly appreciated... even just
thoughts about where to look or who to
contact might bring some much needed
relief.

i'm not a medical expert, but it seems
that there may be something underlying
this which is causing this.
heart attacks don't just happen for no
reason. perhaps he is experiencing some
stress or emotional difficulties? our
bodies have a way of alerting us when
something is wrong in our life, and
sometimes the alerts can be pretty severe.
what i'm trying to say is that instead of
focusing on only the medical problem, he
should evaluate the things that are
disturbing him in his life, and seek
positive and constructive ways to deal
with those issues.
dis-ease is our bodies reaction to some
sort of stress.
i would highly recommend for him to
consider getting involved in something
which can help him to find inner peace.
have you ever heard of heart rhythm
meditation?
