When resting the normal heart rate should
be in the range 60-80 per minute. Heart
rate is controlled by the vegetative nerve
system system consisted of sympathicus and
parasympathicus. Any event (physiological
or pathological) that stimulates the
sympathicus will cause increasing of the
heart rate. Any event that stimulates the
parasympathicus will decrease the heart
rate.
