Hi There,
I'm a 33 year old male and consider myself
to be quite fit. I go to the gym and lift
weights 5 times a week.
I have notice this "Skipped Beat" now for
around 3 months + it's like my heart beats
normally and then all of a sudden it
misses one.... then the next beat seems
twice as strong and I feel it in my chest.
I do not suffer from any pain or dizziness
etc...... and it doesn't affect my
fitness.
I went to the GP last week and she sent me
for an ECG which on both tries (15 and 45
seconds) showed no problems. I know my
heart didn't skip a beat in this time
which is typical!!! It pretty much does it
all day to be honest....
I'm still single

so I socialise
normally once a week and do tend to
overindulge on the alcohol!! There is
definately a noted increase the next day
in the skiped beat!! so I will be cutting
right back in that department.
There other area of concern is my water
intake...... I go through fads of drinking
2 litres daily and then sometimes barely
none...... The problem is I rarely feel
thirsty so i have to force myself to do
so. This is another area where I feel I
need to improve...
I've been reading about it on here and
have mixed views really. It does seem that
it is normal... ish but I don't want to
leave it....
My diet is quite good to be honest. I eat
a high protein diet (mainly for the gym)
consisting daily of 7am - porridge, 1030am
- protein shake, 1230pm - chicken n veg,
1430pm - protein shake, 4pm - chicken n
jacket potatoe, 6pm after gym protein
shake, 7pm dinner - fish and veg or
salad.
I take vitamins etc in the morning too
consisting of:
1 Santogen Gold multi vitamin
1 Galic tablet
1 Kelp tablet (dont take too regularly)
1 35mg aspirin
I know thats alot of protein etc but I
train extremely hard and I'm not putting
on any excess weigh, only mucscle... all
be it slowly. I weight 14st 11lbs. For
cardio I use a mountain bike twice a week
and cover around 20 miles!!
My GP is sending me for bloods but I'm
convinced they will say you're fine.... I
just wanted some more professional advice
to help put my mind at rest?
Many Thanks in advance
David
