This can be normal but horrible. Using heat can help. Taking ibuprofen (motrin) is very effective to alleviate cramps. It is a pain reliever but also has the added benefit of being an anti-inflammatory. The tissue in the pelvis and uterus swell and this causes the pain and bloating. Motrin can relieve both problems. Taking ibuprofen for a couple of days prior to the onset of your period can greatly reduce the cramping once your period begins. Taking the ibuprofen during your period is very effective. If you are saturating a pad or tampon every one to two hours you need to see your gyn as this is considered excessive bleeding.

yah iv had the same problem for 2 years now and im 16... there are days were they make me vary light headed and have nausea all day. oh and in pe if they tell you to move faster dont you will only make it hurt way worse. Hot baths feel wonderful but i have cysts all the time so my left side always hurts... Hope you get some thing to control then i still have yet to find something healthy that will control mine.

Ovarian cysts during pregnancy can be of two types namely benign and malignant. While benign cysts pose very little threat during pregnancy, malignant ovarian cysts can be dangerous during the delicate pregnancy stage. Hence, the first thing you should conform is the type of ovarian cyst you have. Treatment for ovarian cyst depends mostly on the type of cyst you have and the extent of the problem. Some types of cysts can be resolved on their own. However, it is always advisable to monitor your ovarian cysts carefully in order to avoid complications like ovarian cysts rupture during pregnancy. Sometimes, complications can manifest themselves suddenly and out of the blue. Thus even benign ovarian cysts should not be taken for granted during pregnancy.
