Help, Bad Reaction From Sanding Zinc

My father is a union iron worker who had to sand zink and is allergic to it. He aches very bad is feeling horrible. At 6-3 240lbs he doesn't complain. Is there anything I can give him to help, he says he has to wait it out. Thanks mucho in advance
