I was hoping some of you could help me
decipher my MRI. It basically says from
the L2 to the S1 I have bulging disk. I
also have moderate degenerative disk
disease and moderate degenerative facet
disease bilaterally. At the L3-L4 level I
also have overall spinal stenosis.
I am only 49 years old and don’t think I
should have this many problems with my
back. I am in a lot of pain basically
from the waist down.
Can anyone tell me if this stuff is really
bad or is there hope.
Thanks
Marie

I really do not know how to explain these,
but I have the same thing you do, just
different disc's. I believe with the
bulding that means the disc is displaced
and moved out toward the front of the
spinal area. Stenosis is when a part of
the spine is diformed and tilts inward.
All of these can be very painful. I know,
I will be on pain pills for the rest of my
life most likely. The best thing you can
do is, set down with your neurologist and
have him explain it to you with one of
those fake spines they have in the office.
