My girlfriend and me have been together
for over a year now and I have always
thought she had some type of a weight
problem. She will only eat once a day and
it%u2019s a very small portion. First she
wanted to get her weight down to 113, when
she reached that goal the new goal became
107. I talked to her about it and
explained that she would actually look
better if she weighed about 120 and how
eating that way was hurting her body. Well
I had thought she took my advice and left
it alone, but yesterday after a few drinks
well quite a few for her she confessed to
me that she has started purging herself.
She understands that its all in her head
but when she looks in a mirror she thinks
shes fat. Ive always know about her
weight issue and tried to reassure her how
beautiful she is and she doesn%u2019t need
to lose any weight and even if she was 200
pounds id still love her. The whole
purging thing scares me she opened up to
me about it because she doesn%u2019t know
how to stop it, the problem is I
DON%u2019T KNOW HOW TO STOP IT. I
don%u2019t understand it, please if anyone
can give me any information on what to
do.
Regards,
A person in need

She has a way out of that. She understands
that it's a mental illness, a disorder,
which is an important thing, a huge step.
You really care about her, so why not
showing her this forum? Why not showing
her documentaries about how this can kill?
I was on that path and decided not to go
that way anymore, because I want to live.
