So I spent almost all of my day in the ER...I was at work when i felt a gush (like when you start your period) so I went to the bathroom and was bledding ALOT..I told my manager I was going to the hospital and off I went.

I had an ultrasound and they said I measured at 6 weeks 2 days and even though she couldnt pick the heartbeat up on the ultrasound machine we did get to see it (man was it smallll!!!). So I then waited and waited and waited...had blood work and a pelvic exam...then waited more.

The doctor said my OS is closed so thats really good, and I have a hemmorage/hematoma behind the placenta. I am on bed rest for the next 3 days and have to go to my ob-gyn next week for another ultrasound becuase they have to keep a close eye on it but everything looks great with the baby!!!! yes im sooooo releaved.

The bleeding seems to have slowed down a lot...so now im just gonna rest for the next few days and wait till next week.

Has anyone had this problem before??? I swear I can never have anything normal about me, im always the ones in my family with all the problems....But i just hope everything turns out ok (so far so good) and that I can deliver a healthy baby.

Sweety,
I'm sorry you had such an awful day and had to be in the ER all day.

But I'm glad that everything is ok with you and the baby.

My sister had the same thing at 9weeks, but unfortanetly she miscarried.

Well congratulation sweety and have a happy, healthy 9 months!!! :0)

Sorry you spent all day in the ER! I think they do that to milk you of your money...

my friend had bleeding behind the placenta early on too, she's now 28wks!

Just stay off your feet like they told you, I'm sure you'll be fine! You'll be in my thoughts!! Good Luck!!!!

Thank you both very much, I have been in bed since I got home from the hospital and it has already really helped. The bleeding has now turned to very light brown spotting.

I am praying this doesnt effect my baby. So far so good...

haha yea...when I played sports my coachs loved having me on their team just so they could yell my last name!!

But no one yelled louder than my mom and her nickname for me was "lil sister" so when I was up to bat all you can hear is COOOOMMME ONNNNN LITTLE SISTER!!!!! everyone would then start yelling that cuz of my mom lol

Experiencing the same thing!!!
I just found out yesterday that I have a hematoma behind my placenta too!! I'm 13 weeks and 3 days. I have gone to emergency before and was told it was a threatened miscarriage and then I went again on Friday and found out saturday that it was a hematoma so I know what you are going through. I hope everything goes well for you.

I completely understand
Right now i am 19 weeks and 2 days pregnent. I took the quad test at 15 weeks and it came back 1\10 for spina bifida. I recently went to a high risk clinic. However they said that i have a 98% chance of my son not having spina bifida. What the did find is some hemmoraging on my placenta, the scary part is i didn't even know it happened. They also noticed that the umbilical cord is coming through the side of my placenta and that it only has two vessels. I pray that everything will turn out great but I am SO SCARED. They also took me off work so all i have time to do is think.. So i completely understand I will pray for you and your baby
