Hi, after having hemroids last year I was
not overly worried when I developed one 5
days ago. I bought some cream and in the
past few days the size of the lump has
shrunk and the pain is less. I had been
drinking lots of water and fruit juices to
allow for easy stools, although I have
been refraining form going to much.
Tonight when going to the toilet I past a
lot more blood than I would think normal
for hemroids. Although I had noticed some
bleeding when applying cream, I wasnt very
worried, but when at the toilet the water
had turned red and there was loose fluid
blood in the basin. I hope that its just
the rupture but I am rather worried. Its
not bleeding now however, definatly not in
the way it was before.
I would realy like some advice. Just how
much blood can there be? Should I go to
the doctor?
((didnt realy know what section to post
this as there was no hemroids section.))
thanks.

You should go to the doctor just to be
safe. At least call and ask if they'd
like to see you for something like this.
That much blood sounds worrisome and it is
always better to be safe than sorry.

Im not sure if it is classed as a "lot" of
blood. Certainly enough to turn the water
red and leaving a fair few drops on the
basin, clealy seperate from the stool.
Upon closer observation of the hemroid
there is blood around it and the anus,
although this is not dripping and seems
more like the blood you'd get after a cut.
So im wondering if the hemroid has
ruptured clean through the skin and
therefore is trying to heal over although
I can feel no scabing, although fully
probing the area is extremly awkward given
the hemroid, plus holding a mirror and
being a man hair gets in the way. (not
very dignified)
the fluid blood puzzles me, as there has
been non in the bath.
