my dad has had problems with is neck for a long time. he was having problems swallowing on one side and now its hard to swallow at all. i finally got him to go to a doctor, who sent him to get CAT scan. they told him he has a hernia in his neck. what causes a hernia and what are the treatments? will he be put on medication first or is this just a surgery issue?
