I am 29 years old and in generally decent
health. About 3 weeks ago I started to
experience a burning and tearing feeling
in my abdomen (It is approximately two
index fingers to the right and two index
fingers down from my belly button).
There has been infrequent grade fever.
There has also been infrequent blood in my
stool, however the last few days it has
been consistent with bowel movements which
now discolors the water red.
I have had to stop working how (running
and lifting weights) because the research
I have done on hernias indicate it could
be related.
I cannot seem to find a hernia that
indicates the location of my possible
hernia. I have reviewed umbilical and
para umbilical and incisional (I had a
laproscopic surgery in 2004 where a cut
was made in the belly button).
Can someone please help to learn the
possible cause of this (if it is not a
hernia) or what type of hernia it may be??
I am out of my country right now and do
not have insurance at the moment. I will
be returning in a month to my country
where I can see a doctor. Is anyone aware
if this can wait that long??
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you have a couple things
going on.I would recommend you see a
doctor for this.
The fever and blood in your stool is a
concern, you mention it is red which is
usually fresh blood possibly from a tear
in the rectum. Do you have constipation?
Does your pain (burning) get worse at
night?
