Acyclovir, an antiviral drug, when used orally to treat genital herpes caused by HSV-1 or HSV-2, may decrease serum (blood) levels of Dilantin, leading to less effectiveness.

I think Valtrex will have the same effect.
Also, seizures can be very serious side effect of using Valtrex.

If I get an outbreak, I won't take any valtrex. How long is the virus on me?
Thanks
