Hi, Macbug! wave Interesting username. Lol
This is my family. The people with whom I laugh and cry with. And yes, like any family we don’t always see eye to eye.
This is my first forum too, and the only one I might add. They keep me quite busy.
Tell us a bit more about yourself.

HI!! Well... I'm excited I joined this forum. It will be really interesting sharing all of our health problems and worries. Its always good to know that somewhere out there someone understands and relates to the problems you may be facing. I fumbled across this forum b/c I was looking for some answeres to my health questions. For the past 8 mths. I have, off and on, had a lymph node on my inner right thigh that has been swollen. It will all of a sudden get really big then decrease or disappear w/in a week. I have seen my GP who told me I had an ingrown hair, which I don't. Then I saw my GYN who put me on antibiotics for 14 days which made it completley disappear for several weeks. Then all of a sudden here it comes again then disappears again. Finally last week it came back and I made a an appointment w/ a general suregeon b/c I want an answer NOW!!! I went and saw him yesterday and he had me sent for tons of blood work and a chest x-ray. I'm like freaking out and can't wait fo rthe results. The first thing I thought of w/ a swollen lymph node is cancer!?!? I have a 3 year old daughter who is my world and I'm just praying that everything comes out fine for her sake!!!!

Not to worry. Swollen nodes also come with infection of some kind. In most cases where they come and go this is the rule. Chill yourself out a bit and relax untill you have some clear cut answers. Oh Gosh, how many times I have worried for nothing. The crossed fingers would probably go all the way acrossed the world. I will be waiting to find out your results. Just remember, everything is not always cancer. There is the famous benign word too.
If they feel it is needed they can alway biopsy it for conclusive results.

Thinking of you,
Carrie

Hey Macbug19, and welcome to eHealth Smile Looks like you do have quite a few things get off your mind here and we will all help you out as best we can. It's never easy going through things with our health, especially when we don't know and the doctor don't either...and when you have a little one.

I hope you find all the answers you need here Smile

I initially came here after my daughter was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. (We had two other diagnoses in the meantime) Now I’m just part of the family. Soul mate Homerx, mother figure Roberta777, baby sister Coliejo, confidante Lonestarguy, and the list goes on and on. You seem to be a really sweet, caring mother, and I can relate to being worried out of your skull about your little one’s future if you’re not there anymore. I have a 3 year old daughter myself.
Good luck to you, Macbug, and keep us posted.
