Originally I went to the doctor in July of
07. He diagnosed me as having an ulcer,
and gave me IBS and photon pump inhibitors
meds. He said that I should start feeling
better after a week and I was. Then my
insurance got canceled because I turned 18
and I have been having a hectic time
getting in reinstated.
My insurance cut off was October of 07.
This is when I stopped receiving my
medication. I was out of meds until
December, when I was given Mexican drugs
that were the same thing I was getting
originally, Omeprazol 20mg except this was
a 120 pill bottle.
Anyways, to my problem.
Basically I have a problem centered on my
abdomen. This pain can occur in my kinda
middle upper back area, and will get as
bad to where I have to lay down on my
side. This also effects my sleep, and I
almost always wake up about 5 times in the
middle of the night. I usually wake up
with a sore abdomen too. I usually can
only get to sleep on one side. Also, about
6 out of 7 days a week I will wake up with
nausea. I actually had a period of 2 weeks
where I got to throwing up in the morning
3-10 times. This went away though. Now I
generally get about 2-3 hours of nausea in
the morning. I also get a feeling of
constant pressure on my abdomen. This is
where I think the wrongful diagnosis came
in, because on another forum I check
regularly, they kinda hinted at having a
Hiatal Hernia.
They said it sounds like my body is having
a problem with the stomach acid levels in
the morning, which is probably why I feel
so nauseated in the mornings. They said
thats why when I take my pill in the
morning that it will generally take away
the nausea. They said the feeling of
pressure was likely the diaphragm pressing
on my stomach, which would be another
reason why sometimes when I cough, I get a
very intense feeling of wanting to vomit.
Basically that forum community kind of had
me convinced. I have been trying to
pinpoint my problem for a while and I
honestly think this could be it. But this
other forum is not full of doctors. So I
have to ask here if they are correct.
