I know everyone who has acid reflux does
not have a hiatal hernia BUT if I can help
ANYONE to stop going through what I did I
will be one happy camper!
About four years ago I started feeling an
uncomfortable pain in my left side of my
chest and left upper arm. (Thought heart
attack)
Been to different doctors....most said I
just needed anti depressants. (I didn't
think so) Then I had test after tests for
my heart.
Finally I began getting pain in my left
lower abdomin. A doctor had me get a
colonoscopy and endoscopy. They found a
hiatal hernia pushed up in my chest.
This explained my trouble breathing
lump in throat (doctors said it was
anxiety)
Hell, who doesn't get anxiety when they
can't breath??? Hmmmmmm
chest pain
couldn't lay flat or left side....pinched
feeling and could not breath
upper back pain
acid reflux
voice was raspy (guess that is the
word...)
nausea vomiting
pressure in my chest....felt like someone
pushing on it all the time
I want everyone to know that as soon as my
chiropractor (helped my upper back during
all this) found out I had a hiatal hernia,
he pulled it down manually with his hands.
Instantly I could breath and the pressure
was lifted.
I hope this helped SOMEONE! I wished
someone had an answer a long time ago for
me. It hurt so bad.
(I am a 39 year old woman and doctors
looked at me like I was too young for all
these problems. They really made me feel
crazy. )

I was recently diagnosed with GERD,
colitis and a hiatal hernia. That's very
interesting about your chiropractor being
able to move it down. I recently lost 35
pounds in six weeks because I couldn't
hold any food in me...it hurt soooo bad in
the upper portion of my stomach, right
under my rib cage. It got to where I
would eat plain bread and even bread would
go straight through me or I would throw it
up.
Now that I'm taking medications for it,
it's gotten a bit better but I feel like
there is a lump in my throat all the time
and it's irritated all the way down, as is
my stomach lining. The endoscopy and
colonoscopy showed a lot of redness so it
will take a while to get everything
settled down.
This gives me another idea to think about
so thank you for posting!
