HIV after intercourse ??? Posted: 06-02-08 16:50pm
I had intercourse on May 12 and I asked my
partner (who's 39 years old, has a kid,
divorced) to wear a condom, he did it, but
afterwards I saw that the condom was on
THE BED!! I don't know if it "fell down"
somehow, or if he took it off...
I don't know.
I freaked out but he seemed to be calm,
told me I should take the morning after
pill (as my 1st worry was pregnancy)...
I gotta say I shaved that day and felt
something itching by the external area of
my vagina when my partner came, which
lasted some 3 days. I don't know if that
could mean an infection was entering my
body...
The pill made me feel very sick, with
severe headache, nausea and diarrhea since
I took the 2nd pill. Also shortness of
breath and changes in the heart beat
frequency (that was the next morning
aready).
After some 5 days, I felt better, and
after some other days I got much worse
than I was before. Symptoms were back and
worse: nausea, diarrhea, lack of appetite,
weakness, shortness of breath,
stomachache, and I don't know if it was
'cause I was in the beach with changes in
the weather all the time, but my throat
got a little sore, sinusitis, some coughs,
stiff neck, (and then after some days I
don't know if I'm just nervous, but I
think my neck glands are hurting a little,
and my neck is a little swollen..?)...
maybe it was only the cold sea water where
I surfed for hours??
I experienced night sweats twice. They
made me freak out and think I could have
HIV.
Then, for some days, I woke up with my
eyes very swollen, as if they had been
punched... but nothing wrong, except for
pain in the eyes, and vision a little
blurred which are getting better.
My blood tests are all normal, but it's
been a few weeks since the "episode", and
I had been alone for ages before that
"episode" with that guy.
I just started to have more appetite
although some symptoms are still there.
Could these be the 1st symptoms of HIV?
Is there anyone who has it and could tell
what you felt when you 1st noticed it?
Can those be symptoms of side effects of
the morning-after pill?
I'll get tested again in 3 months, but I'm
thinking about this everyday..... help
me!!!
* NOTES:
I've passed through a period of menopause
for almost a year, when I had a shot of
zoladex 10.8 to control ovarian cysts, I
don't know if this helps...
** I had a nose surgery on 29 January and
my nose still didn't recover well, so
maybe it can be something associate to it?
Am I hypochondriac? I don't know.. I'm
worried!!
Please, let me know your experience and
opinion, THANK YOU!!

it's been less than 1 month since that
happened.. so I got tested and it was
negative, but the dr. said it takes at
least from 3 to 6 months to know for
sure....
I can't wait to know!!

Relax and concentrate in something u like Posted: 06-08-08 22:23pm
I think its a kind of phobea for you. Its
nothing like HIV. It doesnt come that
easily and u dont have to get scared.
Something symptoms are common for many
diseases and expecially when u are in a
trauma of shock and doubt, it appears
more.
Just relax and get tested after three
months for ur own confidence. and I am
sure, u are negative..and learn to be
negative always..
Thank you everybody for your responses!!!
I surely learned I won't trust condoms
only anymore. I'll only do "things" with
people proven to be safe and tested. Plus
condoms. The guy I was with said he's not
+, but later I found out that he lied
about some little things... so who knows
if he's not lying about a big thing? If he
can't say something silly, how could he
say something as bad as a disease? Anyway,
from now on.. enough for me! I'll be SUPER
safe!!!!!
It won't be worse than what I'm passing
through now, even if the next test says
I'm negative. My advice here is that
people should do the same, 'cause even
when you THINK you're safe (wearing a
condom and doing everything right, with
someone you THINK is safe), things can go
wrong....
