i recently was bitten by my
stepmother(hard enough to make me bleed),
who could be HIV positive. this was in
early march. around the 27th or so, i had
swollen lympnoids, and a slight
cold/cough. (i've had the cough for a
while) this only lasted a few days,
because i drank tea had a bath and sweat
it out. i've had no other conditions,
other than one day i woke up kinda sweaty
(although it could have been from the
heat) i am a little un easy with this
situation because my dad told me that i
could be HIV positive and not even know it
for a year. (i have also made an
appointment to see a doctor, in may.)
could my sore nipples be another
condition? or the fact that my hands were
dry for a little while? (i don't think she
got her spit on my finger but i don't
think that really matters) is there anyway
that could possibly tell, that i have HIV
aids? (we don't talk to my stepmother
anymore because she is MIA) is there an
advanced test that will show if i have HIV
aids or not? please respond !

There is an HIV-test that you can take at
your primary health provider. You could be
infected with HIV only if your stepmother
was infected and if, during that fight,
her blood came in contact with your
wounds. All your symptoms can happen in
case of HIV-infection but also in many
other infections that are more common than
HIV/AIDS.
