HIV symptoms after oral sex ? Posted: 05-28-08 20:49pm
Hey its me once again.
In my last post I told everyone how I got
an HIV test done 2 weeks after receiving
oral sex from another man. Well I got
tested the sunday that past and now I got
to wait another 2 weeks for my results. I
am going through anxiety every morning and
night I wake up. When I got my first test
done It came back negative and that was
done april 7th.
Just 3 days ago I started another cold. I
still have a slight sore throat but my
cough and runny nose is clearing up
already. Its now been almost 2 months and
I am still terrified that I might have HIV
from receiving that oral.
I had a urine track infection 2 days after
the oral, then the 3rd week I had severe
sore throat, and now a month later I got
this random cold. My armpits feel weird
also, as if they are swollen, there is
friction!
Can anyone please help me calm down,
should I really worry all that much.

calm down babe, you don't know whats going
on yet, sometimes your mind will play
tricks on you but make sure you take the
proper precautions next time you have a
sexual encounter! i think your going to
be fine.

For your information, you are supposed to
wait three months from the point of
infection to go for a test. I recommend
you see you doctor and be honest saying
what has happened like you posted here and
then go from there. You may have caught
another STD. Who knows? Meanwhile take
it easy. Whatever has happened has
happened or maybe not... We cannot change
that but we can change how we react to
it.

sumdumbguy, the symptoms you are stating
that you have almost sound like they are
psychosomatic. In other words, its all in
your head. You seem to be working yourself
into a panic attack. Relax,man. Either
way, you are not going to die. I have been
HIV for many many years and I am alive and
doing fine. It isn't like it was in the
80's. There is medicine you can take to
keep well now. You are probably not even
positive so chill until you have the facts
from your doctor or clinic.

Hey folks and especially Homerx for your
relaxing comment.
I feel a lot better now and relaxed about
waiting for that 3 month period to roll
by. My second HIV test came back negative
and that was taken on may 28.
I was curious if now was the right time
for me to go for my 3rd test, the big 3
month mark.
My first test was done on April 7th 2008,
just 2 weeks after receiving oral sex
(msm) and it is now July 28th.
