HIV symptoms and secroversion period
Posted: 07-20-08 21:38pm

I had sexual contact with someone of unknown status around the end of april ( protected intercourse but not protected oral). After I had red marks on the head of my penis...didn't itch, didn't hurt...were just there...they went away on their own. Also have experienced very small itchy bumps on my thighs, arms, hands, and lower stomach. My doctor said that they looked like hives. Also have had some discomfort in my hands and feet. I was tested for HIV after 3 weeks of exposure. And also 2 days ago I was tested. Both were negative. Do any of these symptoms seem HIV related? Should I be worried?
Does anyone think that worrying or stressing about HIV can cause u to have symtoms? Ive been very stressed out about this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! =)

I am surprised that you did a test two days ago and got the results so soon. That was fast.

Your last test was done in July and the supposed exposure was in April. That means that the result is accurate unless while you were waiting, you put yourself in a risk behavior.

Approximately 70% of the time, what causes a case of hives cannot be determined. Many foods or food additives can cause hives suddenly, even in small amounts.

Before I was told I had AIDS, I suffered hives all over my body. If this was connected to the HIV, I have no idea.

All the best to you

yeah i got the results that day...it was one of those tests where they prick ur finger and put the blood on that little strip that puts a line if you have the virus...do u think these tests are accurate?
also is there a relation to discomfort in fingers and feet to hiv?
i think i may just be suffering from stress and anxiet about this...

Sounds like you are having anxiety from worry. Get a proper blood test that screens for everything ... and don't give whores head.
