I just used one of those home rapic test
HIV kits and it turned that there were no
anti-bodies detected. I'm a bit uncertain
though, because I didn't manage to get a
lot of blood on the strip (there's a
lancet included but I was so nervous that
I screwed up, so I had to make a 'hole'
myself using a needle, which didn't work
quite well). Now, my question is: can I
rely on the test given that the amount of
blood was minimal (i.e. not as much as
depicted in the instructions)?
thanks in advance.

I would not rely on the rapid test. But
thats just my personal opinion. I would go
to a clinic and have a mouth swab or blood
test. I am not sure if you will get the
correct results having done it the way you
did.

The site I bought it from, reports a 99,8%
accuracy + the product is approved by WHO,
so I thought I give it a go.
