Q: home pregnancy test says positive

i took the home pregnancy test and its positive. last time i got my period was during the last week of september.. i am so scared to know that im pregnant because ive been smoking, drinking and taking drugs once in a while.. i am scared to know that my child may be abnormal because of my doings.. but this is bcause i didnt know i was pregnant. this baby means so much to me now but im really scared.. please help me, what can happen to my baby? ive stopped taking everything when i found out i was pregnant, but still im scared of the side effects for my baby.. i need your help or advice especially those who gave birth to a normal or abnormal baby because of the same things ive done.. thank you

There's not much you can do right now about that. You can't undo anything that might be done. What you should do is contact a doctor for prenatal care and let them know that there may be cause for concern. They'll give you an ultrasound and go from there.
