I guess we are lucky the way all you girls talk about how expensive houses are in your area!

Oh man, houses in the Portland area are outrageous!!
Very lucky you live in a rural town, or what they consider one.
Sounds like everything went well, hopefully they accept your offer!

Thanks everyone!! Still no news yet, I don't know how long it will take for them to look over the paperwork & either accept or decline the offer.

If this place doesn't work out though we have 2 backup houses in mind. One is a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath ranch style home. I think I might have posted a link or pictures of it in one of my last posts. This one is also a really really nice place but there are two downfalls, it's literally less than 20 ft from railroad tracks & a main road. Not that Kaylee would be going outside by herself anyway EVER but it still makes me nervous, not to mention getting used to the train blowing the horn right in front of our house everytime it goes by because there's an intersection right there. The other house is about 10 minutes down the road from where we live now, Shane fell in love with it & is set on getting it if our first house doesn't work out. It's a nice house, it's listed as 4 bedrooms but could easily be 6.. 2 full baths, 2 car garage (attached). Shane loves the fact that it's still in the country so he wouldn't get arrested for riding his fourwheeler & because it has the garage. Also at the end of the garage there's a room that the people who owned it before used as a weight room, he says that will be perfect for the pool table/bar room.

It's getting pretty stressful, it's getting to the point now that I just want a place, I'm tired of looking. Tony (our landlord) is rushing us too so that doesn't help, he says he's beeing pressured by his bankruptsy lawyer to sell the cabin so we don't really know how much longer we'll be able to live here anyway. He's trying everything to get us to stay here & buy it. He said the other day he'd go half & half with us to replace the windows/doors & level the floors up. I think NOT! He wants us to put the money toward that PLUS pay what he wants to sell this place for, I don't think so dude, not worth it!

Yeah, I love this cabin but looking at all these other houses has really made us see that it's not worth it with the amount of work it still needs. & Tony is a cheap @ss about everything so he's definately not in a hurry to fix anything. I don't think we'll ever find a house located in a better spot than this cabin is but I guess you can't have everything lol..
