Everyone keeps telling me that i might be
schizophrenic. I dont sleep or eat much. I
keep to myself, im almost always
depressed, and i usually have high anxiety
about almost everything. I see things like
people that arent there and i feel like im
always being watched! I hear voices allot
and instead of going away they just keep
getting louder and i have no clue where
they are coming from. I will plug my head
and bury my head im a pillow but i can
still hear the voices. Its like there are
hundreds of people yelling right next to
me! Im really scared and dont really know
whats going on with me! Please Help Me!!!

You might be schizophrenic, you have some
of the symptoms, but then again it might
be the depression that's causing you
hallucinations. You should see a doctor.

You should disclose the details of your
situation, tell them everything. If they
still refuse to take you to a doctor and
you're under 18 you can tell your
councillor at school, in the last resort
you can call child services or a child
help line. You really need this help so be
brave.

Listen to Philo. You need to find some
help. It is out there. If it is easier
write it all down and give it to your
parents, a counselor, a teacher,
clergyman, an adult you feel you can talk
to. The symptoms you are experiencing need
to be addressed and you need to find
treatment. The school should have a social
worker or nurse. Go to them and tell them
what is going on. They can help you find a
doctor to see. Let us know how you are
doing with this.

Yes, but we also are random people that
you probably don't consider your friends,
and we're not professionals, but you did
talk to us.

Write it down and present it that way.
Yes, conversation will follow but this may
make it easier for you. Meds can help with
anxiety and social phobias. Wouldn't your
life improve if you could just get over
that hurdle? You need to find the strength
deep within you and go to someone.
Anonymity is good for a quick bit of
reassurance or to run an idea by people
but from a computer you can not get the
help you need. We are here for you but we
will keep telling you to get to someone
who can help you get the medical attention
you need. Take care and keep us updated.

go to your school nurse. just take some
time off from class and say your not
feeling well. tell her you need help but
your parents wont take you to a doctor.
she could refer you to a county health
program that would treat you for very
little money if you have no insurance.
there are places like that, they give you
treatment based on your income, if you do
not have insurance, and they are all
professionals there. there are people
like you that need that kind of help all
the time so dont give up. if you can't
bring yourself to talk to your school
nurse (which is a real good option) then
you should tell your counsellor.

Having mostly recovered from schizophrenia
myself, though still experiencing the
effects from time to time in a much milder
way, I would say that you probably do have
schizophrenia. I'm no doctor, but I've
spent years with the condition and what
you describe is fairly similar to what
I've experienced. Tell your parents that
you think you need help, or see your
school counselor about it. What you need
most, though, is some friends that you can
really trust and confide in, along with
the therapy. That's the only way I managed
to struggle through it.

I also having being suffering with some of
the symptoms that you have described for a
while.
It started about 2 years ago when I was
getting bullied on a regular basis and
would have recurring nightmares of killing
the bullies this began to worry me and was
worried about maybe me loosing control one
day and hurting someone. But like you I
would keep myself to myself I suffered a
lot of depression and had a low self
esteem at the time. It began to get worse
when I also thought I was being watched
and sometimes followed then the voices
began they would start quiet a begin to
get louder and louder until the only thing
to drown it out was by putting my head
under water almost until I passed out. the
thoughts would make me more angry and
unpredictable then it hit its worst when
it had some kind of control of me it made
me talk to myself but I had no way of
stopping it. I need to see a shrink but it
is hard for me to talk to someone because
I don’t want to be labeled as a freak or
a psycho or to be locked up in a mental
asylum this is the only time I have ever
talked about it please help me.

You won't be laballed as a freak or locked
up in a mental assylum. I had a similar
experience to what you are having.
unforunately I let it get to the point
where i lost total control. I acted really
strangely infront of my family ( totally
embarressed myself) and thats when my dad
took me to the hospital. They kept me in a
psych ward for just ONE night. Just to
calm me down. They gave me really strong
meds which calmed me right down that
night..
I spoke to psychiatrist there, they
diagnosed me and then sent me home.
After that i had some psychiatrists come
to my house for about a week. every two
days i think (it's all a bit of a blur)
they gave me valiums and sleeping tablets
so i could sleep. After that i had a case
manager come and see me weekly and we
would chat about what had happened and
make sure I was okay. She really helped
me. I think I saw her for a few months.
After that i was pretty much fine.not
fully recovered but not as delusional as I
was previously.
I know that hardest thing to accept is
that you need help. At least you've had a
chat and read some stories about it so you
do understand it. I had no clue what was
going on with me at the time. You do
though so i would suggest you tell a
family member or a close friend exactly
what is going on with you. You need to be
admitted to hospital in my opinion. (just
for a night) and get medication so that
you can recover.
Please tell someone what is going on. You
need medical attention...
