How do you tell your parents?

how did any of you mothers-to-be or
mothers tell your parents that you are or
were expecting? i especially need advice
from those of you around the age of 20 and
NOT married. please help...

My and my boyrfiend just said it...."Hey
Mom guess what, Im pregnant!!" That was
about it. It wasnt very hard and mothers
usually have an idea already, they know
everything!! lol
Or you could take a picture of the
ultrasound and frame and give it to her on
mothers day...thats coming up in a few
weeks!!!
Did you plan your pregnancy or was it an
accitdent?? Im 19 by the way.

Im 21 and my hubby is 20. But there really
is only one way to tell them and its just
to blurt it out. I called my mom right
away and told her. She was exstatic, she
has been wanting a grandchild. My father
was a little harder. I am always afraid to
disappoint him. But I did the same thing
and just called him and cam right out and
said "Dad you are going to be a grandpa"
he was very happy.
But just tell them. You dont really have
to lead up to it or sugar coat it. Just
say hey guess what? I think thats the
best way cause they are still going to
think what they are going to think.

i was only 17 when i was pregnant, but i
took my mom to dairy queen (we didnt live
togeather) and had my bf with me and we
told her togeather. we said "so, your
going to be a grandma"
it was so scary to get the guts to say it,
but it wasnt as bad as i thought it owuld
be at all

on the phone... i called my sister and she
threewayed her. I was feeding a toddler
and trying to take care of a four month
old as well

My sister in law is 20. She is 16ish weeks
pregnant now.
She just sat them down and told them that
she was pregnant. They were really really
excited right away.
She was more afraid to tell me. As a
matter of fact she didn't tell me, she
waited until I left the house to tell the
in-laws and then had my MIL tell me. But
that is a whole other story.
You might be pleasantly surprised by their
reactions.

My mom knew there was a possibility I
could be pregnant (I was 19 at the time).
I went to the doctors & came home
& didn't know how to tell her so I
handed her the bag of my sample prenatal
vitamins that the doctors office gave me.
She looked in the bag, said "Oh my god,
are you really?!" & cried for the next
2 weeks. She was happy but at the same
time kept saying "My baby is having a
baby" & crying more.

yeah moms are the best huh? Mine cried
when I told her and she cried when I told
her I was having a boy. She kept saying
that we were just alike. She was 21 when
she had me. I will be the same age. She
has been really emotional. Its great
though.
I think every parent is concerned
especially being in your early twenties.
Cause thats still young. But they will
love you still.

when i first fell pregnent i was 16 lol
and i was working alot so my mum never
realy saw me. when she did i was really
quiet and shy and i never really ate much.
so she stopped me and asked what was
wrong. i wouldnt tell her lol so about 3
days later she was bugging me soo much
that when she asked if i was on
antidepressents i said u cant take them
when your pregnent or it would prob help.
her face just fell! lol

I was 17 when I got pregnant & I
didn't tell my mum until I was 16 weeks.
She suspected it when I was about 12 weeks
but I denied it (I'm not sure why, I just
knew she'd be so mad). I regret lying now.
It's best to tell your parents sooner
rather than later.

I took a pregnancy test the day my period
was due. I had slight cramps like when
your period's about to start, but my main
symptom was that I just felt different.

Just come out with it, if there's one
parents who'll take the news better than
another then perhaps telling them first
would be a good idea. Good luck! I was 15
when i got pregnant and thanks to my
boyfriends's mum i never got to tell my
parents myself, my mum suspected i was
because we always got our periods on the
same day so when we knew that my mum
suspected we told Dom's mum which urrrm
well lets just say didn't go well and then
she took it upon herselfto call my mum and
tell her even though i was going home
straight away to tell her.

Well I'm 19, and I have yet to tell my
parents, I know they'll be pissed. And
there really is no real good way to tell
them that will make them any less upset
about it.

i tested coz i was about 4 days late por
my period and it never once crossed my
mind i would be pregnent n then on day i
just woke up n went OH BALLS! lol and got
a test lol
