Yuri is a girls' name in Japanese, but in
Russian it's only a male name. I really
wouldn't use it for a girl- in Japanese it
means Lily (which is why it can be a
name), but it also refers to lesbian anime
porn. I think it could cause a bit of
teasing on a girl.

If you're set on a russian name for a girl
as well, why not Yelena, Natasha, Irina,
etc? Something that is actually a girls'
name?

It is a girls name, I did plenty of
research on it. Its a name that can go
either way, it just has different
meanings. It has nothing to do with
Japanese or lesbian porn
