ICE..In Case of Emergency Posted: 04-28-08 18:15pm
Hello
I didn't know where to put to this so here
it is.Anyone who has a cell phone (which
is mostly everyone today) should think
about putting this in their phones. This
is in the event you have accident or are
unable to speak and need help ASAP.
ICE stands for:
I- in
C-case
of
E-emergency
You would put in ICE for a contact then
you put in the number.
If your contact number is the same as your
home number or another number you already
have in your phone then you would put in
the number and the * symbol after the
number, this way the phone will accept the
contact and the number doesn't come up as
already stored.
If you are using more than one ICE contact
you would put in ICE-1, ICE-2, etc...and
do the same for the phone number after
each entry.
I read an article on this and it saved a
persons life. I know the EMT's were asking
people to put this info in their phones.
I think this is very important to have in
our phones.
We all know the EMT's, police, etc... try
to contact someone in the event of an
accident, this is one of the quickest ways
for them to get in touch with our ICE
contacts, if an unfortunate event occurs.

Wonderful idea. You could even program
that into you home land line and then you
do'nt have to try and remember the number
in case you are unable to think straight
and just make it #1 (priority). Great
idea!.

This can work for any phone or even palm
pc.
You can even make a list of your medical
problems such as allergies, surgeries,
etc..as long as your phone has enough
storage room.
I actually put that info on an index card
and keep it in my wallet. I did this for
each person in my family and now they
carry their own index cards with this
important information. You know teenagers
they don't always think medical stuff is
important but they are aware of they need
to know their allergies, blood type.
Current med's also is good to have listed
someplace in the event you are not
conscious. I had my mom do this especially
after her surgery.
