I have an irregular period so it's really difficult for me to try and decide when to take a hpt. like now, I haven't had a period since the end of may. My fiance and I did the doo on the 29th of Aug and last night around 12 or 1am i noticed a brownish discharge, I put a pad on halfway excited that AF finally came for a visit, but today so far on my pads all I've gotten was one measly brown spot on one pad. Usually, whenever I do get my period, by this time I'm pretty heavy.

I guess my question is this, could there be any possibility that I ovulated without getting a period and this could be implantation bleeding? I'm probably just getting my hopes up again and AF is going to hit me real hard soon. Also, since I don't know when AF is really due for a visit, when do you think would be an appropriate time to take an hpt?

I know that was long, I'm sorry!! but any comments would be much appreciated!
