My 11 month baby boy was bitten by an
insect on his forehead. This happened in
April but the forehead is still swollen.
One doctor gave us "Fudicin H cream" and
the other one gave us some "Piriton".
Unfortunately none worked.
They suggested an operation but I am not
ready for this at all.
My baby seems fine apart from the fact
that his skin always feels hot even when
my husband and I we feel it is a bit cold.
He sweats a lot and ..snores!!!
Otherwise he is a happy bunny.
Should I be concerned regarding his
forehead. I live in London but I am
considering going to France to sort it
out.

Consider that maybe it isn't just a bite
and may it was only coincidental with some
other cause of swelling....ask for a scan
to make sure its just a prolonged insect
bite reaction.

Thank you very much for your reply.
You just made me more aware of the urgency
of the situation. Moreover as I noticed
that the brown mark where he was "bitten"
is getting bigger.
I shall be down the surgery on Tuesday.
Thank you again.

It is unusual for a bite to cause scarring
but for it to be changing? That doesn't
sound right at all, I would get that
checked out by a specialist.
