iron levels Posted: 04-17-08 02:40am
i had a midwife appt today, and got the
results from my bloods. aparently my
stored iron levels are only 4.8, ive been
put onto iron tabs and vit c. i was just
wondering if low iron levels could harm my
baby (im 31 wks 3 days), and if my iron
being so low could be what is making me so
tired and dizzy at times.

Your blood volume is growing to support a
baby so you need more iron to sustain more
red blood cells. Your low iron can make
you dizzy and tired. Low iron will affect
you most. Keep taking your iron pills and
drink a lot of water. Iron can cause
constipation.
