My significant other is about 7-10 days
before her missed period and thinks shes
pregnant. We took a pregnancy test, which
came back negative, but feel as if it may
be inaccurate due to the timing in her
cycle. She has been experiencing nausea
and been throwing up suddenly, otherwise
she feels fine. Also, her nipples are
significantly larger than normal, and she
is experiencing pain in her breast. She
has also, been getting sharp pains in her
side. We plan on taking a pregnancy test
at weeks end, and one more time next week.
Do you guys think shes pregnant?

If her period isn't due for another 7-10
days, that means she JUST ovulated the
other day. As in, a couple of days ago.
The egg wouldn't have even implanted in
her uterus yet.
You don't get pregnancy symptoms this
early. Pregnancy symptoms are caused by
hormones that are released by your body
when you're pregnant. These hormones
aren't released before the egg is
implanted, because there's no way for your
body to know its pregnant yet. These are
also the same hormones that pregnancy
tests detect. If what she's experiencing
was caused by pregnancy, the test would be
positive.
She's feeling these things because she
thinks she's pregnant. The body has a way
of tricking you when you think pregnancy
is possible, and you will develop every
symptom known to man... and then start
your period.
Wait until she actually misses a period,
and then take a test. And in the future,
always use birth control to prevent this
from happening again.

her cycles are usually inconsistent. If it
goes as scheduled it should be between the
4th-11th. So i guess that would make it
4-14 days depending.

A missed period is usually the first
symptom of pregnancy. The hormones are not
concentrated enough to cause symptoms such
as nausea and vomiting. And if they were,
a pregnancy test would be positive.
Wait until the 12th and then take another
test. She might want to consider getting
on birth control to regulate her period.
