Both of my breasts have been itching for
about 2 weeks now, with no relief from
anti-itch creams and lotions. My first
thought was that it was related to my
implants (saline), but they are 8 years
old and have never caused problems. So
would this be a dermatology problem or
more serious porblem such as IBC? It is
not the nipple, rather the tops and
outside of each that itch. They are
tender, but my period is coming up, so
that may be the case. Could it be
hormonal, as I just turned 40 this year?
Just wondering if anyone else has had this
experience. The itching is at it's worst
in the middle of the night. Thanks for any
input!

Hormonal change can be the cause. Talk to
gyn about this. They may have an answer
for you. Have you tried oatmeal baths or
lotions? Aveeno makes a lotion that is
wonderful for itchy skin.
