This may not be the right forum to post
it, but there isn't a specific one, so I
thought I'd post here and see what
repsonses and direction I receive.
Here's a summary of event:
Sunday: Accident while tobogganing,
landing the small of my back on the back
of a sled from 2-3 feet in height.
Monday: Extreme side & stomache pain, so
went to the hopsital to haveit examined,
was worried I hurt something inside pretty
bad. They decided to do a CT scan. During
this scan, they hooked me up to an IV to
pump the dye into my system for the scan.
The IV was not done properly and my hand
ended up getting pumped full of the dye,
to 4X its normal size. They sent me home
with a warm compress on it to help releive
the moisture
Tuesday: Still no use of my hand, swelled
up 2X its size, the hospital says as long
as it's not hurting, there is no concern
Wednesday: Swelling is down, now only 50%
larger than normal, I have the use out of
most of my hand but a row of nasty
blisters are formed on the back of my hand
and wrist. My forefinger is constantly
tingly and have limited use out of it.
Thursday: Still swelled a bit, but
blisters are still there and my fore
finger is still numb, tingly (as if it is
asleep) and limited movement.
I have done research on this type of
accident but can't find anything. The
hospital staff has assured me not to
worry, it will all recover, but I would
like to find past experiences to gather
some expected results.
