Jobs & pregnant teens

So I am super fascinated with what everyone does for a living... yes my dream job would be to be a wife and momy but lets face it... it doesnt happen for everyone plus unless my SO what a stellllllar job I would constantly worry about finances of not having a dual income family, etc...

So If you work, what do you do? Full time/Part Time?
If you go to school what are you majoring in?
If you volunteer avidly (not that you have in your life time but you are an avid volunteer) what organization do you represent?
If youre a stay at home mommy, what hobbies/play groups do you attend?

I currently am employed at a Stock Equity Research Firm here in San Diego. We research for individual investors looking to get into the stock market. Howeeeever, I put in my notice of resignation and start a new position this coming Thursday at an attorneys office!!! Mega jazzed!

My major in school was business, and would like to continue that eventually.

I am a hugeeee volunteer nerd. Its almost creepy. Lol I have done everything from the Breast Cancer 3day walk to chopping off my hair for locks of love (27 inches) and working at teh Nature Center and Childrens hospital. However the groups I regualrly work for are American Cancer SOciety, which is only about 5 times a year working at 24 hour marathon races, Pug Rescue of San Diego, which is a daily thing for me it is an animal rescue organization, Soldiers Angels, and Wee Angels which are monthly programs.

I work online, running a few little marketing business, and freelance writing/programming. I don't make much doing it ($1,000 in a good month, $50 in a bad month), but it lets me stay at home with the munchkins and we just use the income to pay down hubby's student loans. I used to be an assistant store manager at an electronics chain (that was a sinking ship, so I bailed), but right now I'm looking for a part-time job as an electronics lead at the local K-Mart or selling cellular for the new Wally World - glorious, I know. Razz I've just been doing the stay at home mom thing for a while now, and it gets to me. I can't stand that my husband can pull the "I'm at work all day, and you can't get the dishes done?". Telling him it's a little hard to juggle our eldest's homework, and the battles that errupt between the little two (only 15 months apart), just doesn't seem to work.

I am going to school online for Business Management, but that's probably going to stop soon (the school sucks).

As far as volunteering...I don't really do much. Every so often I'll help out with something, but it's really hard to get from point A to point B with the girls. The local food pantry has a community garden, so I think I'll be doing that this summer - I'm a garden-a-holic.

right now im a stay at home mommy, val has constant doctor appointments and has a lot of special care that she needs (as a matter of fact she may need to go back to the hospital soon) so its a LOT easier if i just stay home for now, hopefully when shes about 2 or 3 i can go back to school full time because my dream job is to be a l&d nurse/midwife/doula or maybe a nursery nurse (like the nursery in the hospital) or pediatric nurse (im not sure though)

but i need to be sure that vals health is stable and can be easily managed by someone else and i want her to be old enough to tell someone when soemthing is wrong.....does any of that make sence

stay at home mommy is SO far from my dream job, i love val with all my heart and i KNOW i will love my future kids just as much i just want to do something else too

I'm a manager at McDonald's and a part-time soccer coach. I'm also applying to American Eagle for the summer. I'm in college for nursing though. I want to be in L&D...as of right now.

I'm currently unemployed but have worked in retail and also data entry. I'm hoping to get a job as a stylists assistant soon, or to work at a beauty supply store.

Right now I'm about half way to getting my Cosmetology license. I plan to become a Pharmacist as well later on down the road, the sooner the better depending on how things go after the baby is born.

So If you work, what do you do? Full time/Part Time? Casual employee : I'm not guarenteed hours every week however I get paid more than part time or full time employees, usually get around 5 - 20 hours a week

If you go to school what are you majoring in? I go to school but we don't have majors here. I study
-Health and Human development
-English
- Maths (dumb level)
- Psychology
- Photography

If you volunteer avidly (not that you have in your life time but you are an avid volunteer) what organization do you represent? I used to volunteer a lot but not so much now cause I'm in my last year of school so study study study, however I have been approached to help train a disabled kids basketball team which I'm totally pumped about doing.

If youre a stay at home mommy, what hobbies/play groups do you attend?
I'm a boy =o ..... BASKETBALL !!! been accepted into this really awesome camp taken by ex olympic players and coaches that will just be amazing... I also spend a lot of free time running, going to the gym... anything active.

I'm basically just a house wife at the moment, and in about 5wks, I'll be a stay at home mother.

My SO is a truck driver. He's done it for 10 years, and this is the best job he's ever had. He is very spoiled here, mostly due to the fact they now have 8 drivers. His last company had over 50. He works anywhere between 1 and 5 days a week. He usually leaves between 3-6pm and is home between midnight and 3am. We know if he works that day, and no sooner, so it's kinda hard to plan ahead. But what is nice is the fact he has Friday and Saturday nights off.

I am a Veterinary Technician and I work part-time while I am in school but over the summer I work full-time.

I am going to college for Nursing, and will graduate in 2011. I cant wait!!!

I used to volunteer a lot while I was in middle school and high school but unfortunalty I am really busy with school and work so I dont get to do that as often.

I work anywhere between 15-20 hours a week as a sales associate at k-mart while I finish high school. I work in ladies fashions. This summer I'm going to start college for cosmetology, and when I'm finished with that I'm going to get a degree in business management, and one day I'd like to open my own Maternity Spa for pregnant women and new moms.

I volunteer for DECA. I did the Light the Night walk for Leukemia, and we'll be doing more before the end of the year is over. I guess I'm not an "avid" volunteerer but I'd like to be.

well I'm a stay at home mum and house wife now but before this pregnancy which is nearly at an end I was a trainee police officer.I will of course go back and finish my training but its long hours and its 4 days on and four days off so its very tiring and with 3 children its going to be very hard....its good that my mum is a young Grandma and can babysit whenever me and my partner need her to.We were actually paying her to stay with them before i was pregnant and still in training as my partner is a van driver and also works long hours....its nice that we both have time off before and after our 3rd daughter is born even though its due to all the difficulties we have been having with the pregnancy.

hobbies are cooking, being with my family and going out for drives, slow walks,shopping,swimming....nothing too strenuous right now.
