Kissing a child on the lips?

My grandma thinks that kissing your child
on the lips is wrong. Am I wrong to think
that there are different kisses for
different people? She thinks that we
should only kiss our children on the
cheek. what do you think?

i guess it just depends on the person.. i
think that it is fine for young children
but to make it a point to let them know
when they get older that you dont do that
to anyone.. i kiss my daughter on the
lips..

anyway lol! i just manage to kiss him on
the cheek. i dont see a problem in it.

just my preference. I hate the human
mouth. I am surprised that I let Dan kiss

lips but thats just my problems i have
with intimacy due to my past...so i guess

I think it's fine if you're not doing it
in a creepy way and you brush your teeth
and if it doesn't bother them. I kiss my
daughter all over and she loves it.

she'll only accept the lips. lol

but Neil thinks it's 'sick' and hates that
I do it. May just be a cultural thing as
he is Portuguese

I am Afrikaans, so when we get together
with other Afrikaans friends and family
everyone kisses on the lips to say hello
and goodbye. So I kiss other adults on
the lips, well other Afrikaans adults.
That is just the culture I was raised in.
It's fine with kids too. When did a small
kiss become dirty and shameful?

My thought exactly!
I kiss Oni on the lips and don't see
anything wrong with it.
I still kiss my mom on the lips.
I wouldn't allow strangers to kiss Oni on
the lips. and I don't make her kiss
EVERYONE when we leave. Only those who
she's very close to.
She won't kiss a stranger anyways...lol!
She'll let them kiss the top of her head!
I also let Oni kiss Nya on the lips.

scott and ma gran and nefews and neices.
its a hello and goodbye thing. scott will
only kiss me and my mum n sis n bro n
gran. thats it. he dnt even give his
grandparents kisses coz hes not quite sure
how there related yet.

my sister it's normal to me. My nephew
always insists on kissing us all when
we're leaving, he lines us up in height
order then asks to be picked up

loves it. She's learning to kiss as
well... all of a sudden this big, opened
mouth comes at your face! It cracks me
up!!!!!
