Methods used for removing tattoos.
• Dermabrasion
• Excision
• Lasers Tattoos Removal

Dermabrasion:
Where skin is "sanded" to remove the surface and middle layers;
It involves process of removing the tattooed area of skin and then stitching it closed.

Excision:
Where a surgeon removes the tattoo with a scalpel and closes the wound with stitches. In some cases involving large tattoos, a skin graft from another part of the body may be necessary.
Dermabrasion & Excision both is painful

Lasers Tattoos Removal:
Lasers Tattoos removal is better choice, as it is painless when treated by expert. Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then easily removed by the body's immune system. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.
The Q-switched Nd: YAG is now considered the "state of the art" laser for tattoo removal because it effectively removes almost all colors of ink found in tattoos.

Time and the number of laser treatments require
Posted: 04-17-08 04:19am

In my above post i have pointed the method of removing tattoos.

In this post i am sharing about requirement of time and number of laser treatment.

Although laser treatment is definitely a much safer, less painful and more successful way of removing tattoos than other conventional means, it is a fallacy to think that it can all be done in a jiffy.

The amount of time and the number of laser treatments required to remove a tattoo depends on several factors such as:

The color of the ink: This determines how many laser treatments you would require to undergo. Black and blue colored tattoos can be removed easily whereas green and yellow pigments are harder to remove.

Tattoos made by professional tattoo makers: These use better quality ink and equipment, so they are harder to remove as compared to street tattoos.

New tattoos: It is more difficult to remove a new tattoo rather an older one as the pigment in the new tattoo is likely to be denser.

Size of the tattoo: The amount of time and the number of laser treatments required also depends upon how big or small is the size of your tattoo

Depth of ink: How deep the ink is injected

Location: Where the tattoo is located

Healing capability: The individual's own ability to heal
